The site is in the village of Martin Mill and is
about 4 miles from the Ferry Port. As you approach Dover you turn left at the
roundabout signed for Deal. From this road you follow the International Camping
signs to the site. The final approach is quite narrow, but don't be put off.
The site is quite long with tarmac roads. Static's
also occupy part of the site but these are in separate parts of the site away
from the touring sections. There are ample electric points although if you
arrive late, and the site is fairly full, a longer lead might be advisable.
Towards the end of the site is a large field area used mainly by tents. Some
pitches are divided by low fences and others by bushes. The two toilet blocks
are both of good modern design. By the end of the day there was evidence that
they had been well used since they had been cleaned in the morning with oddments
of rubbish not put in the bins provided. There is a small shop. The site is open
all night and reception stays open quite late. If it is closed you can enclose
your pitch fee in one of the envelopes provided and put it through the letter
box.
The site is very convenient for the ferries and would also be suitable for a longer stay to explore this part of Kent. There is a railway station in the village for those that do not wish to use their cars during their stay but this does mean some railway noise but not excessively so.
