To find site:- Leave Henley by the A4155, Marlow
Road, the site is about a mile out of Henley on the left.
The site has 95 pitches which are a mixture of
hardstandings and grass. There is one toilet block which is up to the usual CC
standards. TV reception is poor but each electric bollard has a TV connection
which is free for those with their own co-ax cables. There is an enclosed play
area for children on this site. This is a members only site which accepts
caravans, motor homes and trailer tents but not tents. Advance booking is
advised as this site is often full, particularly through the summer, bank
holidays and during the regatta.
This is a very convenient site to visit Henley on
Thames, it is a 15 minute walk into the town centre. There you will find an
excellent range of shops and restaurants. Also there are walks up and downstream
along the Thames towpath. If you don't want to walk there are river trips from
the banks of the river near the bridge. This is a good base to visit other towns
along the Thames, Marlow is 8 miles away and Windsor a little further.
As much as I like this site I have to attach a health warning. The A4155 is a very busy road and particularly during the morning and evening peak times there is an excessive amount of road noise which effects all the pitches which back onto the road. Other pitches will be less effected. Fortunately noise is not a problem through the night. If you have a thing about noise then this site may not be for you.
